FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?

Functional medicine is relevant for everyone looking to gain an understanding of their health and jump back in the driving seat with the end goal in sight and a clear map of how to get there.

Nicci has succussfully worked with children and adults presenting with many different conditions. Her clinic, post-graduate training and research has led her to specialise in migraine and the menopause. She has worked successfully with many clients  supporting numerous clients with individualised protocols to address the root cause of their conditions.

WHAT TO EXPECT

01. FREE 15 MINUTE CALL

02. FIRST CONSULTATION: The purpose of the first 75-minute session is to learn about your medical history, current symptoms and health goals.

03. TREATMENT PROTOCOL: Further to your first session, an individualised  treatment protocol will be sent to you with recommendations for laboratory tests if necessary, diet, supplementation, other therapies and lifestyle changes. The protocol will include the number of session likely required in order to meet your health goals.

04. FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS: The purpose of these are to review laboratory results from which more tailored recommendations can be made and to track your progress.

Functional medicine determines how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each client.

Research shows us that one condition has many different causes e.g. migraine can be caused by physical trauma, underlying gut conditions, biochemical imbalances, allergies or hormone imbalances. Likewise, one cause may result in many different conditions e.g. hormone imbalances may cause infertility, night sweats, brain fog and mood swings.

We work together to gain a detailed understanding of your genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors, often using laboratory tests to direct your personalised treatment plan that leads to improved health.
